Oleksandr Lukashenko called President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

The President's Office reported that the politicians have agreed that Ukrainian delegations will meet with the Russian delegation without preconditions on the Ukrainian-Belarus border near the Pripyat River.

“Oleksandr Lukashenko has taken responsibility for ensuring that all the planes, helicopters and missiles located on Belarus territory will stay on the ground during the Ukrainian delegation’s travel, talk and return travel” the message states.

According to different information, Lukashenko could decide today to send Belarus armed forces to Ukraine to fight in the war on Russia’s side.

Earlier today Ukrainian military shot down a cruise missile that was fired by the occupier at the capital of Ukraine from the territory of Belarus. The missile was flying towards Kyiv. From the first day of the full-scale Russian war against Ukraine, enemy troops have been pushing towards Ukraine from Belarus territory. Western countries warn Belarus that it could expect the same sanctions as Russia, for participating in the war against Ukraine.

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, on the morning of February 27, published an address to Belarus citizens, in which he urged them “to be Belarusians, not Russians”.

This morning, the media of the occupying country wrote that the Russian negotiators have arrived in Belarus for talks with Ukraine, and they are ready to have them in Homel. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, replied that they are prepared for negotiations in any country from which there are no missiles fired at Ukraine. Mikhail Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, believes that Russia is manipulating the negotiation process and is humiliating and using Belarus.

Another adviser to the head of the President’s Office, Oleksii Arestovych, said that the arrival of the Russian delegation to Belarus to negotiate the end of the war with Ukraine means that the enemy has lost an initiative and is not able to continue active warfare.

The President’s spokesperson, Serhyi Nikiforov, said, commenting on negotiations, that the Ukrainian delegation is not traveling to Homel for talks because of the unacceptable demands made by Russians. At the same time, he noted that the format of the talks in Homel was being discussed; however, at the last minute, Russian negotiators demanded that, first, the Ukrainian army should lay down their weapons. They immediately received an offer to follow the “Russian warship”.
