Google will no longer allow Russian state media to place advertisements, after the same decision was made on Saturday by Youtube, CNN reports.
«As a response to the war in Ukraine we are stopping monetization of Russian state media on our platforms» Google said in the statement. «We are closely following new developments and will take further steps if needed.»
On Friday, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, said it would suspend Russian state media from placing advertisements and monetizing it on their platforms.
