The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has called on G7 leaders and other world leaders to continue supplying Ukraine with protective gear and putting pressure on the Putin regime, CNN reports.
After a telephone conversation with world leaders on Monday, Johnson said that all leaders agreed that “Ukraine's valiant resistance to Russian troops is truly inspiring”.
The head of the British government also stressed the need for "an international response to the humanitarian crisis, which arises, in particular, by supporting Ukraine's neighbors dealing with large numbers of Ukrainians, who are fleeing violence in their country," the statement said.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to continue imposing trade restrictions and sanctions on Russia, including cutting Russia from SWIFT, a messaging network that connects financial institutions around the world.
The statement said the leaders agreed to "use every opportunity to ensure that Putin does not fulfill his ambitions."
