Britain has imposed sanctions on the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and its chairman Kirill Dmitriev over Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, Interfax reports.

Dmitriev's assets were frozen and he was banned from traveling to Britain.

The British government believes that the Russian Direct Investment Fund "as a national welfare fund ... conducts matters of economic importance to the Russian government, financing projects of economic and political importance to the government."

We will remind you that on 28 February the USA blocked assets of the Russian fund of direct investments and its head, sending them to the SDN List (the list providing full blocking of assets).
