For the first time in the case of two-side conflict in the case of Russia, the European Court of Human Rights pointed out measures to ensure only one of the parties, the adviser to the Minister of Justice, Ivan Lishchyna, wrote on his Facebook.
“So there is a text of ECHR’s decision in Ukrainian. Why am I so excited? In the decision, the Court states that it closely follows the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine. The Court has not only banned Russia from using weapons against civilian facilities but fully reproduced Ukraine’s main demand in its statement and ruled on the next day after receiving the statement,” he said.
Lishchyna added that the only thing this ruling lacks is the phrase “Russian warship, go fuck yourself.” “Everything else is there,” he stated.
“Of course, Russia will not abide these demands. But now, every hit on the civilian infrastructure will be a direct violation of ECHR’s orders. Which will make it much easier to prove violations, collect compensation and bring #KharkivTribunal closer,” the adviser said.
