The Metropolitan Opera, the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Estonian National Opera have already imposed cultural sanctions on organizations supported by the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture reported.
“There is no such thing as too many sanctions, so we report about the new ones. Thanks to our friends for the support! Russian culture must be cut off from the rest of the countries,” said the Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr Tkachenko.
He urged people to expand this list together.
“Sign the petitions about cultural sanctions against aggressor-country right now!” he stated.
The organizers of the Frankfurt Book Fair have suspended their cooperation with Russia, and Warner Bros film studio cancelled the Batman (2022) screening a day before it was to premiere in Russia due to the war in Ukraine.
