The first batch of StarLink satellite internet constellations has arrived in Ukraine.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
"Thank you, Elon Musk and all the partners of free Ukraine! We continue to fight on all fronts!" - wrote Fedorov in the Telegram channel.
On February 26, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, addressed Elon Musk on Twitter with a request to provide Ukraine with access to satellite Internet.
Elon Musk responded to the request and said that the Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. "Other terminals are on the way," Musk said.
Starlink is a project by SpaceX that provides satellite Internet access. The project was launched in 2020 in the USA and Canada.
Starlink is a satellite internet constellation. These satellites in orbit interact with each other at a frequency of more than 10 thousand GHz with the help of laser beam.Communication with terrestrial stations and user terminals is provided by Ka-antennas via radio bands with a frequency of 12 GHz. The speed of such Internet is up to 1 Gbps for each user, and you can use it anywhere in the world.
