YouTube has blocked Russian propaganda channels in Ukraine.
This was reported in the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
"Now the occupier will not be able to distribute and impose his fakes in our country. As of today, we do not have:" First Channel "," Russia 24 "and" Russia 1 ", TASS," RIA Novosti ", RBC," Zvezda TV "and a number of other channels”, the press service of the Ministry said.
The Ministry expressed gratitude to the video hosting for such a decision.
"This is a big step towards our common victory," the Ministry of Finance stressed.
It is to be recalled that on February 26, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine asked the YouTube service to block several Russian propaganda channels.
On the same day, the video hosting announced that due to "extraordinary circumstances" it was suspending the opportunity for RussiaToday and other Russian state media to sell advertising on its channels. The service also said it would limit video recommendations published by these channels.
