The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine asks Ukrainians whose phones were confiscated by the occupiers to inform the operator and block the number immediately.

"We urge Ukrainians whose mobile phones have been confiscated by enemy troops to report it to the operator as soon as possible and ask them to block the stolen phone. We understand that doing so when a phone is confiscated is not easy. But it is crucial, so find neighbour's phone, use a stationary device - the security of our state and the lives of Ukrainians depend on it," the statement reads.

The State Special Communications Service notes that since Ukrainian operators cut off communications to the occupiers, blocking access of phones with Russian numbers to their networks, they are increasingly taking phones from citizens, as communication is a critical element of effective combat operations.
