The military and political situation remains under the control of the leadership of Ukraine and the Armed Forces. The enemy is concentrating forces to lay siege to Kharkiv and Kyiv.

The news was announced at a briefing by Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the President's Office.

"The enemy is concentrating its forces on the siege of Kyiv, trying to besiege Kharkiv, but in general, everything is under control," said the adviser.

Arestovich claims that the enemy has used two thirds of its missile potential. At night, Russia fired missiles at the capital and the city of Kharkiv. Kyiv’s air defences shot down five planes: 2 of them were eliminated with our aircraft, and the rest of them were destroyed by air defence.

On the morning of 1 March, the most intense areas of battle were in Kherson, where single groups of enemy infantry attempted to enter the city and the Armed Forces and other military destroyed them, and Kharkiv.

In Kharkiv, the enemy struck at the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. The level of possible losses is not yet known. In Mariupol there are incidents of separate shooting and artillery clashes.

"Even the weather is helping us. There has been a storm on the Black Sea for the last three days, preventing Russian marines from landing near Odesa and Mykolayiv," declared the adviser.

It is important to remember that after negotiations on the river Pripyat, the Russian occupiers began firing ballistic missiles at Kyiv. According to the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anton Herashchenko, Russia wants to raise rates and take Kyiv and Mariupol in the ring before the next talks begin.
