Microsoft stops selling its products and services in Russia

Microsoft is stopping new sales of products and services in Russia due to the war in Ukraine. This is stated in an official statement published on the company's website.

"Today, we announce that we will suspend all new sales of Microsoft products and services in Russia. In addition, we closely coordinate and work with the governments of the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, and stop many aspects of our business in Russia in accordance with government sanctions. We believe that we are most effective in helping Ukraine as we take concrete steps to coordinate with the decisions taken by these governments, and we will take further action as the situation continues to evolve," Microsoft said, adding that they "like all the world feel horror and anger at the news coming from Ukraine."

The company also noted that it continues to actively assist Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity.

"We also continue to mobilize our resources to help people in Ukraine. Our Microsoft Philanthropies and UN Affairs teams work closely with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and several UN agencies to help refugees by providing technological and financial support to key NGOs and, if it is necessary, we to protect these groups from protracted cyberattacks," the release said.

It should be noted that on March 2, Oracle, the world's second-largest software company, announced its shutdown in Russia.
