According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the radiation background in the Zaporizhzhia region remains unchanged.

According to the results of planned monitoring studies, the radiation background does not pose a threat to the life and health of the population, informs the press service of NNEGC "Energoatom".

It is established that the gamma radiation background does not exceed the natural background inherent in this area:

Energodar - 9-12 μR/hr;

Melitopol - 9-12 μR/hr;

K-Dniprovka - 11.2 μR/hr;

Berdyansk, Orikhiv, Tokmak, Chernihivka, Andriyivka - 12.5 μR/hr;

Polohy - 11-14 μR/hr;

Vasylivka - 16 μR/hr;

Kherson - 8-10 μR/hr.

Renewal. Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration has updated data on the radiation odds in the region.

As of 17:00 on March 4, 2022, the gamma background is:

Energodar - 9.8 - 10.8 μR/hr 

Zaporozhzhya - 8-10 μR/hr;

Vasylivka - 9.6 - 12.0 μR/hr;

Berdyansk - 10.8 μR/hr;

Andriyivka township - 11.5 μR/hr;

Polohy- 12-14 μR/hr;

Orikhiv - 12 μR/hr;

Tokmak - 10-11 μR/hr and is one that does not exceed the natural background of this area.

"We appeal to citizens to remain calm and not to buy iodine preparations in pharmacies and iodized salt in stores. Iodine prevention is carried out only after official notification in the media," the statement reads.
