Spanish clothing retailer Inditex, which owns Zara, suspends trade in Russia, including online, by closing 502 stores and all online sales.
According to Reuters, this is stated in a statement by the company filed to the Spanish regulator.
"In the current circumstances, Inditex cannot guarantee the continuity of operations and commercial conditions in the Russian Federation and is temporarily suspending its activities," said the parent company of Zara.
Russia accounts for about 8.5% of the group's global earnings before interest and tax, Inditex added.
As said before, premium brands Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, Gucci, Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent also joined the boycott of Russia.
