One of the largest backbone providers of the American company Cogent is disconnecting Russian operators from its networks.
The Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced it on his Facebook page.
He noted that Rostelecom, VimpelCom, MegaFon, Yandex and VK work with Cogent.
"The company offers operators to take away the server equipment within a month ... Very soon, this will lead to a deterioration in the quality of Russian access to foreign Internet services," the minister said.
As you know, the American IT company EPAM is closing its Russian office and has stopped serving Russian customers. In addition, the company decided to allocate $100,000,000 to Ukrainian workers and their families.
The Verkhovna Rada chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk has requested Visa and Mastercard to block all payments in Russia and abroad.
