The Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Telegram channel addressed journalists, bloggers, as well as all those who photograph the war against Russia or write about the warfare.
According to the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valeriy Zalyzhnyy, during martial law, it is strictly prohibited for media to cover the following:
names of units and subdivisions, as well as their location;
the number of soldiers in units and subdivisions;
number of weapons and equipment, their condition and place of storage;
symbols that represent objects.
It is also prohibited to cover anything about:
operations carried out or planned;
system of protection and defense of military units;
available military protection, such as weapons and equipment (except visible or overt);
the procedure for drawing forces (military) and means (weapons);
collection of intelligence information;
movement and deployment of troops (name, number, routes);
military units and their tactics, methods of action;
special operations and the way they are performed;
the effectiveness of enemy radio-electronic warfare;
deferred or canceled operations;
missing or downed aircraft, ship, and search and rescue operations;
security plans of our troops (disinformation, camouflage, counteraction);
information and psychological operations that are conducted or planned;
propaganda or justification of large-scale armed aggression by Russia against Ukraine.
As a reminder, on March 4, the territorial defense forces of the capital detained the “Opposition Platform — For Life” MP, Nestor Shufrych. According to the Kyiv city council member, Oleksandr Pogrebyskyy, it happened during the MP’s attempt to photograph the checkpoint.
The next day Shufrych said that he was released. The MP said that he was taking a selfie when the territorial defense forces caught him photographing the checkpoints. He also emphasized that the law enforcement officers did not find anything criminal in the photos he took.
