Today the bridge in Irpin of the Kyiv region, through which civilians are trying to evacuate from the city was deliberately fired by the Russian troops from 122-caliber mortars. As a result of shell bombing, eight civilians were killed.

That was reported by the mayor of Irpin Oleksandr Markushyn.

“Russian occupiers fired on our local civilians. A family was killed, a shell hit it, and two small children and two adults were killed in front of my eyes. In total, about eight civilians were killed in today’s shell bombing”, Peaceful civilians! – the mayor told in the video message on Sunday evening.

Markushyn also accented that Irpin continues fighting against Russian occupiers.

“Irpin is at war. Irpin has not surrendered. Part of the city was factually captured by Russian invaders. But the part of Irpin is fighting! This is official information!” - the mayor accented.

Markyshun also reminded about the next evacuation of residents on Monday at 10 a.m.

“Tomorrow at 10 a.m. there will be the evacuation of our city residents by the bus from Romanivka. Friends, I will be with you, be sure to come”, - said the Mayor.

Yesterday, an evacuation train was blown up and railway tracks were damaged by Russian occupiers in Irpin, near Kyiv. After that, a decision was made to evacuate by buses.
