During the day on 7 March, the defenders of Mykolaiv twice repulsed attacks of the Russian occupiers. The chairman of the Nikolaev regional state administration, Vitaliy Kim reported on that.

The attack on the city took place from three directions, the battle was long but successful.
"The occupiers have huge problems with fuel, with diesel. They are already guarding it with three cars. They have general confusion and staggering. Commanders are running away, soldiers do not understand why they are here and what they have to do. They are ready to leave. The main thing now is not to let them sleep! Wake them up, "Kim added.
The chairman of the regional state administration noted that as a result of the morning missile strike across Mykolaiv, 79 separate landing and assault crews suffered losses. The Kalibr rocket hit the barracks where the soldiers were sleeping. According to the results of the day - 8 are dead, 8 disappeared, 19 are wounded.
