Almost 100% of Russian troops, prepared for the invasion, are already in Ukraine.
This was announced by a senior Pentagon spokesman during a traditional briefing for the media, CNN reports.
The Pentagon also estimates that Russia has launched more than 625 missiles at Ukraine. As of yesterday, the Americans recorded 600 missile launches.
The official said that while the airspace over Ukraine is still contested, the US assesses that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has “the vast majority of his fixed-wing aircraft” available, as well as surface-to-air weapons to defend Ukrainian airspace.
As a reminder, earlier, the Pentagon declared that the Russian armies which invaded Ukraine, are now struck by bad moral spirit. They also lack fuel and food. Some Russian units massively surrender or abandon their own equipment to avoid combat.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, has now stated that the Russians are demoralized and exhausted, and Russia's plans for a blitzkrieg, a change of government, and Ukraine's foreign policy have been ruined.
