Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has reinforced the cyberdefense of strategic targets and has created a dedicated email address, announced SSU press service.
The address [email protected] was created to facilitate coordination and response to cyberthreats and be active 24/7.
SSU added details about successfully neutralizing recent Russian cyberattacks targeting critical networks, such as energy, transport and telecommunications.
Massive cyberattacks started before the full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory (13-14 January and 15-16 February). The next wave came on the night of 23 to 24 February.
These attacks were supposed to paralyze vital infrastructure, if not for SSU's quick reaction. The service continues to document cybercriminal activities to build a solid base to prosecute everyone connected to the crimes against Ukraine, as per SSU.
On the first week of the war, the Territorial Defense of Ukrainian Armed Forces website suffered 540 000 cyberattacks.
