The British authorities have announced that they can detain any Russian plane that has invaded the country's airspace.
This was announced by Transport Minister Grant Shepps.
"I have criminalized the intrusion of any Russian aircraft into British airspace, and now the British government can detain these aircraft," he wrote on Twitter.
"We will stifle the possibility of Putin's entourage continuing to live as usual, while innocent people are dying, "the minister added.
As a reminder, today, 8 March, President Zelenskyy addressed the British Parliament, government officials and Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The president spoke about the consequences of the invasion of the Russian occupiers and once again called for closing the Ukrainian sky from Russia.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that his country will use all possible methods to stop Russian aggression against Ukraine. He also promised that Britain would get rid of the "dirty money" of Russian oligarchs.
