The Chief Directorate of Intelligence said that they recorded many instances when parachutes belonging to Russian pilots shot down over Ukraine did not open.

This is stated in a message on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Defense.

An Su-27 plane was recently shot down by the Ukrainian Air Defense System. An enemy pilot ejected but died, adding to the statistics of Putin's aces who were shot down and whose parachute did not open after the ejection" the CDI said.

Agents say a detailed study of the wreckage of this previously downed Russian plane is under way.

"Preliminary results show that one of the reasons for the failure of the parachute may be its intentional improper installation before departure," - said Ukrainian intelligence.

The captured Russian pilot said that the occupiers were deliberately ordered to attack the population of Ukraine with unguided bombs.

On 9 March, a downed Russian plane crashed into a residential building in the Osokorki neighborhood in Kyiv. The enemy pilot ejected, but died.
