As a result of shell bombings by the occupiers, two people were killed in the city of Nizhyn in the Chernihiv region and five more were injured, as announced by the mayor of Nizhyn Oleksandr Kodola.
“Today at 2:20 pm there was a devastating shell bombing from the MLRS ‘Uragan’. There are reports of five people injured and two killed. As a result of the explosion, 40 meters of the heating main were damaged and repairs are being carried out. By the end of the day the heating of the houses will be restored, the statement said. Four houses are still without electricity and repairs will be continued tomorrow. Windows were damaged in school No.17, kindergarten No. 25, and family medicine clinic No. 6 as a result of the explosion. The consequences of the emergency are being relieved by the relevant services.”
The mayor stressed that Russian occupiers continue to fire on civilians and civil infrastructure.
As reported earlier, the defense forces of Ukraine are thoroughly repelling and holding back the offensive operation of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in all directions.
During 10 March, in the Polisskyy and Volynskyy areas, the defenders forced the enemy to retreat to unfavorable positions. The settlement of Baklanova Murayivka was liberated in the Siverskyy area.
