Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy six occupier tanks and one IFV near Kyiv - General Staff of the Armed Forces

Troops were armed with Stugna and Korsar anti-tank missiles.

Today, 9 March, the defenders of Kyiv destroyed six enemy tanks and one infantry fighting vehicle (IFV). This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyy.

"During training, we mastered new forms and methods of using units, namely asymmetric actions. Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are putting into practice what they learned, in real combat conditions involving the Territorial Defense Forces and special forces," the statement said.

According to official information, in one of the Land Force brigades, anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) units from the brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of Kyiv and one of the special purpose brigades destroyed six tanks and one IFV of the occupiers in the battle for the capital.

The units were armed with exported Stugna and Korsar anti-tank guided missiles which were transferred by the Luch Design Bureau to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of the morning of 9 March, Russian troops had lost 317 tanks, 49 aircrafts, 81 helicopters, and 12,000 personnel.
