One of the Russian units was actually destroyed near Mariupol. This was reported in the telegram channel of the Azov Special Operations Detachment.
"As a result of hostilities, entire enemy units have almost been destroyed. Thus, one BTG of 102nd Regiment of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian Armed Forces virtually ceased to exist," the statement said.
Ukrainian defenders also published a photo of the regiment commander with trophy Russian tanks in the background.
Earlier, during the 12 days of the city's blockade and the ruthless bombing of residential areas of Mariupol, the occupying Russian troops killed 1,582 civilians.
