Russia is preparing provocations at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This was announced by the head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence Kyryl Budanov.
"Plans for a quick invasion have failed. And they returned to nuclear blackmail. According to our data, they are preparing certain provocations on the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Everyone will be affected. Both Europe and Russia," Budanov said.
"We know almost all their plans. As soon as some ideas are born in big offices, we know about them. Once again, I say that any attempts to seize Ukraine by military means will fail."
It will be recalled that the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is completely disconnected from the monitoring systems of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The station is de-energized. The service life of the available diesel generators is designed for 48 hours of maintenance of safety systems.
