Russians launched another airstrike on Chernihiv; there are victims (updated)

Russian forces on the night of March 13 launched another attack on Chernihiv. The bomb hit a high-rise building on Myr avenue. 

According to the preliminary information, one person died, the head of the Chernihiv regional state administration, Viacheslav Chaus, reported on his Telegram. 

“During the day, ten fires were registered. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine departments put out eight of them. Five of those fires were the results of the shelling. Three people died in the fires,” he also wrote. 

Pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service made three trips around Chernihiv to demine shells that did not explode.

Update. The State Emergency Service clarified that seven people were rescued from the damaged building, one person died, and another was injured. 

“At 5.46 a.m., an airstrike destroyed the 2nd to 9th floors, followed by the burning of a 9-story residential building. The fire station involved ten vehicles and 48 personnel, as well as a group of pyrotechnics," the SES said.

The Russian Federation has been attacking Chernihiv from the air for many days in a row. Due to the night strike on March 11, the whole city was left without a water supply; there were problems with electricity and heating. On March 9, the Russians fired at a convoy of people trying to escape Chernihiv. According to the mayor, the child died.
