Russia launched white phosphorus bombs on Popasna - Biloshytskyy

This munition causes severe injuries and is prohibited by international law.

Russian occupiers’ forces used white phosphorus munition in Popasna, Luhansk oblast, the First Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police, Oleksiy Biloshytskyy, writes on Facebook.

“The use of white phosphorus munition. Destructive, harmful, ugly force. This is what the Nazis called 'Brennende Zwiebel.' The ruscists (Russian fascists) are launching now in our cities. Unbelievable suffering and fires,” he wrote.

Phosphorus munition contains white phosphorus. During the rupture, it spreads the substance with a combustion temperature of more than 800°C over a large area of several hundred square meters. Combustion continues until all the phosphorus has burned out or there is no more access to oxygen. Such weapons inflict more severe injuries and damage than other munitions. They are prohibited by international law.
