"It's a complicated story," Zelenskyy declared that he wants to meet Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. Zelenskyy said this in his late-night address to the Ukrainian people on March 14.

"As for the negotiations with the Russian Federation, the representatives of our countries have daily video talks. The task of our delegation is clear: do everything possible to make the meeting between two presidents happen. I am sure that people are waiting for this meeting. Of course, it's a complicated story, a long way, but necessary. Our goal is to get the result needed for Ukraine in this tedious negotiations business.

This result is needed for us, the world and security," said the President.

Zelensky wants Ukraine to have "real, tangible guarantees, not the "Budapest" kind, not what we see in our sky. The Ukrainians must say: this is working; these are absolute guarantees. We must speak."

The Ukrainian President also spoke about talks with Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, and Great Britain. According to CNN, Russia informed Turkey that Putin is not opposed to meeting Zelenskyy.
