The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, said that Russia had become the most sanctioned state in the world, surpassing Iran and North Korea.

This is stated on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"The anti-Putin coalition continues to deplete the resources of the state-aggressor. During the eighteen days of the Russian army's military invasion of Ukraine, the world community has already implemented 3,612 restrictive measures against Russia, said Kuleba. Together with the restrictions implemented since 2014, the total number of sanctions against Russia is now 6,366, "Kuleba said.

The minister noted that Russia has now become "the most sanctioned state globally, surpassing Iran and North Korea."

This week, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the European Union would conduct a new sanctions strike on the Russian economy.

On 14 March 2022, the EU Permanent Representatives approved the fourth package of sanctions against Russia. It is directed against individuals and legal entities involved in the aggression against Ukraine, as well as against a number of sectors of the Russian economy.
