The enemy is concentrating its efforts on the offensive against the Ukrainian defense forces in the area of Operation Joint Forces.
Adviser to the Head of the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych said this in his video address posted on the Telegram channel of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
"The enemy has determined the direction of its main efforts and is concentrating these efforts on an offensive against our defense forces in the area of Joint Forces Operation. But we hold it back, striking backlash. So a significant amount of "live" equipment and enemy forces in the Kherson region was destroyed tonight, " - Arestovich said.
He added that Mariupol, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and the Kiev region keep hanging on.
"Mostly, in the north and in the Kharkiv region, the enemy has been stopped and is now taking measures to regroup and draw forces. And it is not conducting active hostilities at the moment," - said an adviser to the head of the Security Service.
In addition, he said, Ukrainian troops inflicted night strikes on the enemy: artillery and air.
"The enemy has resorted to retaliatory strikes. In particular, in the Lviv region. Strategic Russian planes, according to preliminary data, struck from the Black Sea with cruise missiles. Now the situation is being clarified," - Arestovich said.
The Ukrainian military defeated an enemy tank unit near Chernihiv which was supposed to advance in the direction of Kiev.
Nine people were killed as a result of the enemy bombing of Mykolaiv on March 13.
Also, 35 people died as a result of a missile strike on the landfill in the Lviv region.
