The Rivne Regional State Administration head, Vitaliy Koval, announced on TV that due to yesterday's enemy attack on the TV tower near Rivne, 19 people died. 9 more people were injured.
An operation to dismantle the debris is currently underway.
"As of 8:30 am, we have 19 dead and nine injured. We continue to unblock the blockages, so this is not the final figure. We are working. There are a few hours left, and we will unblock the entire blocked area," the head said.
Koval added that the Rivne region serves as a humanitarian hub. The region receives hundreds of tons of cargo. The volunteers sort it out and later transport it to the rest of Ukraine.
On 14 March, Russia again attacked the Rivne region. Rivne TV Tower is located in the village of Antopil, about 15 km from the regional centre. The enemy hit the TV tower with missiles.
On the second day of the war, Russia had struck at Rivne airport. On 11 March, the occupiers launched three airstrikes in the region.
