Thanks to the complaints from Ukrainians, 1500 enemy resources on social media were blocked, Cyberpolice reported.
On March 26, the department created a Telegram channel StopRussiaChannel | MRIYA - https://t.me/stoprussiachannel and Telegram bot - https://t.me/stopdrugsbot.
These resources help counter Russian propaganda and disinformation by submitting complaints about the dangerous content on social media. The users send the link to the channel/group which they consider dangerous to the bot. Then the administration evaluates the content, and then the users start sending complaints about the propaganda resources.
“Almost 150 000 members have joined the channel since it was launched. They filed more than 3 200 000 complaints about various informational resources of the occupiers. In total, we were able to block 1500 aggressor resources. The blocked channels had around 15 million subscribers. Also, 3178 publications justifying war crimes and civilian deaths in Ukraine were blocked,” Cyberpolice reported.
The users have also sent more than 44 000 messages to another Telegram bot, “Narodnyy mesnyk” (People’s Avenger).
“Here, people can report on marks left by the enemy, their equipment or occupier’s military, looting incidents, and also the location of the missiles that did not explode,” the department said.
At the beginning of March, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine launched an informational chat-bot in WhatsApp for providing reliable information to Ukrainians about emergencies.
The Security Service of Ukraine launched a new function in the chat-bot https://t.me/stop_russian_war_bot - to fight on the cyber front. Here Ukrainians can provide information about vulnerable points of the cybersecurity of the Russian objects (bugs, backdoors, entry points, logins, and passwords).
Ministry of Digital Transformation launched a Telegram chat-bot eVoroh - here anyone can report the location of the Russian forces in Ukraine.
