The Ukrainian leaders are trying to release Mariupol, involving all possible international arrangements.
Alexey Arestovich, the adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, informed about it during a briefing.
He expressed his special gratitude to the defenders of Mariupol i.e. the Marines of Ukraine, troops of the National Police and the Azov regiment of Special Forces who showed courage and professionalism, defending the 400,000-strong city.
“Dear comrades, your courage and heroism, your exceptional military professionalism allow us to solve the problem of Mariupol at the highest international level. Every minute you win saves the people of Mariupol, who are evacuated from the city by special humanitarian corridors or stay in the city you defend. Thank you for your massive heroism. The leaders of Ukraine are working specifically at releasing and saving Mariupol, using all possible and impossible international arrangements" ,Arestovich said.
Please be reminded that on Saturday, March 19, five more buses with Mariupol residents arrived in Zaporizhia. The day before they were able to arrive in Berdyansk.
Also in the morning of March 19, soldiers of the Azov Regiment performed a special military operation and dealed significant damages to the enemy in Mariupol.
Meanwhile, the Russian occupiers destroyed the Azovstal metallurgical plant, the deputy mayor of Mariupol Sergey Orlov said.
