On the morning of Saturday, 19 March, five more buses with Mariupol residents arrived to Zaporizhia and were able to reach Berdyansk the day before.
This was announced in a telegram by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
"It's about 500 people. Those who want to continue the evacuation immediately will be sent to the [railway] station," he said.
Mariupol residents who want to rest in Zaporizhia are placed in kindergartens buildings. They will continue the evacuation later.
The day before, Tymoshenko announced that on Saturday, March 19, the humanitarian evacuation corridor on the route Mariupol - Mangush - Tokmak - Vasylivka - Kamianske - Zaporizhia will continue to operate. The corridor is open to private vehicles.
In Mangush, all Mariupol residents leaving the city are provided with the necessary assistance. Transportation of people by buses to Berdyansk was organized. Also, two trucks with products were sent to Berdyansk to help Mariupol residents.
