The Mykolaiv regional state administration head, Vitaliy Kim, confirmed that yesterday the Russian occupiers had struck at barracks of a military unit in Mykolaiv. The blockages are still being dismantled.
He told about it in the video address.
"Good afternoon, we are from Ukraine. We keep working. Yesterday, the "orcs" viciously hit our sleeping soldiers with a missile. The rescue operation is still going on. I do not want to talk about it because I am waiting for official data from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to name numbers correctly," Kim explained.
He stressed that everyone in the region keeps working, preparing for sowing, delivering food to people and organizing evacuations from places of hostilities.
"Speaking about the military part, we are clearing the villages, pushing back the enemy ... Well, what enemy? These orcs, idiots. I don't want to comment here either because tactics with quick losses are not our tactics," the head of the regional state administration said.
"And these "orcs" are a disaster in general. Yesterday, they were running around the villages with assault rifles. One of them shot a goose. This shitty guy ran out and caught the goose. I thought he would eat it alive. Now, it will rain, and the occupiers will sit in puddles. Then, for sure, they will get sick and die themselves," Kim added.
Yesterday, the western journalists reported the morning shelling of a military unit in Mykolaiv and at least 40 victims. In particular, a German investigative journalist Julian Röpcke announced this and published photos showing the destruction.
In the evening, on-air of the broadcaster Mart, Mykolaiv mayor Oleksandr Senkevych confirmed that the occupiers had attacked the 79th Air Assault Brigade barracks. "Fortunately, some buildings were empty, and some were affected. I will not give you more information because it is military, and I cannot share it with you," Senkevych said.
He also noted that the regional state administration head Kim did not get in touch yesterday because he currently has a lot of work.
Senkevych also said that Russians had attacked Mykolaiv from the Kherson region. Therefore, the authorities didn't have time to warn the inhabitants about the attack.
