Russia struck at the underground warehouse of missiles and aviation ammunition of Ukrainian troops in Delyatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Region. Information on the type of missiles and data on the victims are being clarified.This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat, Ukrayinska Pravda reports.
"Indeed, the enemy has struck at our storage depots. The type of missile has still to be determined. We have damage, there is destruction. There is a detonation of ammunition. The victims are being clarified," he said.
At the same time, the Air Force Command has not yet been able to confirm or deny the Russians' claims about the Kinzhal [Kh-47M2 Kinzhal (“dagger”)] air missile strike.
"Unfortunately, Ukraine has become a testing ground for Russia's entire missile arsenal. They use missiles that fly two thousand kilometers, five and a half thousand kilometers in range - it's cruise missiles and operational and tactical systems "Iskander", "Caliber” cruise missiles and other X-101s, X-55s, X-555s. There was a statement about the Kinzhal that the Russians are boasting about. We don't know what the missile really was. We can't confirm yet," the spokesman added.
Locals in Delyatyn say the situation in the village is calm.
On March 19, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian military used hypersonic missiles of the Kinzhal complex to destroy the ammunition depot of the UAF.Kh-47M2 Kinzhal (“dagger”) is a Russian hypersonic aviation missile system. After the tests, it was adopted and on December 1, 2017 was taken on combat duty at the airfields of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation.
The missile of the Kinzhal complex is similar in size and appearance to the mobile short-range ballistic missile system Iskander.
