Since the humanitarian corridors were opened in Mariupol, 35,000 locals have left the city by car or on foot, “Interfax-Ukraine” reports citing Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk state military administration.
“There is a total of 35,000 people who left in these two and a half days,” Kyrylenko said.
According to him, the region’s administration improves the evacuation logistics. All of the evacuated Mariupol residents receive the necessary help.
Earlier, Pavlo Kyrylenko said that according to the preliminary evaluation, around 80% of the housing in Mariupol was ruined by the Russian forces, 30% of which can not be repaired. More than 350,000 Mariupol residents continue hiding in the shelters and basements from the constant shelling from the Russian occupying forces. And the Russian military daily drops from 50 to 100 bombs on the city.
