As a result of a missile strike on Lviv in the morning of 18 March, the building of the aircraft repair plant was destroyed, as reported by the Mayor Andriy Sadovy.

“Several missiles hit the aircraft repair plant. Its buildings were destroyed by the strikes. The active operation of the plant was stopped in advance, so there are no casualties now. Rescuers and relevant utility services are working on the site,” Sadovy said.

According to the Air Force “West” of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian missiles hit the area near Lviv airport.

“According to preliminary data, six cruise missiles, probably X-555, were fired from a submarine from the Black Sea,” the command said in a statement on its Facebook page.

Two missiles were destroyed in the sky by anti-aircraft missiles of the Air Force “West”.

On Friday morning, 18 March, the Russian occupiers launched a rocket attack on the western outskirts of Lviv. The explosions took place in the Sknyliv area, where the Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant is located.

The mayor noted that the explosions also damaged windows in the Lviv municipal APT-1 [motor transport enterprise]. Lviv airport was not damaged.

ZAXID.NET reports that an air alarm was sounded in Lviv at about 6:08 a.m., and at about 6:25 a.m. three explosions were heard on the outskirts of the city.
