Ukrainian Post Office (Ukrposhta) announced that it has agreed with global marketplaces - Etsy, eBay, Joom, Wish and Shopify - to cancel the commission for sellers from Ukraine.
In addition, each of the companies has introduced its own bonuses for Ukrainians. "Wish returned the monthly commission in February to all sellers from Ukraine and canceled all commissions for Ukrainian merchants for a period of 6 months. Shopify will allocate funds for humanitarian aid through a partner Flexport," Ukrposhta said.
According to the postal operator, Joom assured that no fines or pessimisation will be applied to Ukrainian stores, and also temporarily reduced the commission for sellers from 15% to 0%. "Etsy has reset the sellers' accounts for February and provides instructions on temporary "store holidays". EBay has applied a policy when sellers will not receive negative customer feedback until March 20," Ukrposhta said.
In addition, Global eBay has started fundraising to support Ukraine. Marketplace will double each donation to $ 10,000 made by the company's employees.
Ukrposhta called on Ukrainian businesses to resume their work abroad, adding that they "restored delivery abroad and have already made two charter flights to the United States."
Also, the eBay platform recently suspended all transactions for the sale of goods from Russia due to the closure of payment systems and basic delivery services.
