In Chernihiv, a Russian missile hit a car delivering water to people, Suspilne Chernihiv reports.
Two people preliminary died, and several were injured.
"Peaceful people, they just went for water. They gathered water and delivered it to people," an eyewitness who asked not to be named told the media.
According to him, the missile hit the car, it became uncontrollable, and drove off the road. Previously, two people were killed, and several others were injured.
"We took the two victims directly to the place where they will be buried. Two were rescued. One boy was taken to calm down because his father was there and, unfortunately, he died. I helped the way I could. I will not tell how exactly people were injured, but very much so," said the eyewitness.
According to the man, in the last days in the area where everything happened, there was constant shelling, "Here, the last two days there have been constant shelling, we see planes flying. We see all this. Chernihiv is holding on, no matter what. Losses… We see everything… But we hold on. Everything will be fine. We can handle everything!"
On 17 March, around 10 o'clock the Russian troops fired at civilians in the center of Chernihiv. Some of them stood in line for water.
On 16 March, in a residential neighborhood in Chernihiv, Russian troops fired at people standing in line for bread. At least 13 people were killed.
Chernihiv Mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko said that as of 17 March, according to preliminary data, more than two hundred Chernihiv residents had died at the hands of the occupiers.
