Zelenskyy: The Russian military does not know what freedom is

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Ukrainians following the results of the 26th day of the war against the Russian occupiers.

"Free people of a free country. The 26th day of full-scale war is over after eight years of aggression in the east of our state. The enemy is slowly trying to move: in some places, to start an attack, take our road under control, and cross the river. The Ukrainian army is doing great. It stops these attempts and restrains the occupiers, "- said Zelenskyy.

He noted that the Russian troops attacked the Zhytomyr region yesterday with MLRSs "Grad" but received a decent response. Another enemy aircraft was shot down near Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region.

"Our militaries have shot down so many planes and helicopters that one can only wonder: are their pilots empty-headed as well? I said 'as well' not by accident, but because their hearts and souls are empty," the President said.

Zelensky reminded that in Kharkiv, the Russians killed Borys Romanchenko, a former prisoner of Nazi concentration camps. He was 96 years old.

"Think about how much he went through ... He survived the "conveyors of death" created by the Nazis, and was killed by a Russian shell. Every next day makes it more clear what they mean by saying "denazification."

Zelenskyy also mentioned that today in Kherson, the occupiers shot at people who joined a peaceful protest for their freedom, for our freedom.

"The Russian military does not know what it is - to have freedom. They were brought here as if prisoners. Sentenced to death and shame," - he said.

The President said that in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russians attacked a convoy of civilians with fire that included many children. As a result, four children are hospitalized, two of them are in severe condition.

The President thanked for the evacuation of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian aid. He emphasized that he is currently coordinating positions with international partners before important summits - meetings of the G7 and NATO leaders will take place on 24 March 2022.

"Our position will definitely sound there. It will sound strong," Zelenskyy added.

Earlier, the President addressed the citizens of the Ukrainian cities who bravely resist the Russian occupiers. He called for driving out of all slaves sent by Russia.
