Paris City Council voted unanimously to grant “honorary citizenship” to Kyiv.
The Head of the French capital Anne Hidalgo announced on her Twitter.

"With this distinction, awarded for the first time to a city, Paris renews its friendship and support for the Ukrainian capital which is currently fighting for its freedom," Hidalgo wrote.
In 2019 the title of honorary citizen of Paris was awarded to Ukrainian film director and former political prisoner Oleh Sentsov.
