Today, 23 March, Lithuanian Minister of Defense Arvidas Anushauskas arrived in Ukraine.

This was announced on Twitter by the Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov.

"Lithuania supports Ukraine not only in words. The personal visit of Arvidas Anushauskas is a testament to the consistent support of Ukraine by the Lithuanian government and people. By the way, it was Lithuania that gave us the first Stingers," Reznikov wrote.

The Lithuanian Minister of Defense said that the parties discussed the defense of Kyiv and Ukraine.

"They say I am the first defense minister since the beginning of the war. We need to start with something. Sovereign states continue to cooperate," Anushauskas wrote on Twitter.

On 17 March, the Lithuanian Parliament unanimously supported the call to close the sky over Ukraine. Earlier this month, President Gitanas Nauseda called on Ukraine to help build an air defense system to protect itself from Russia.
