Russians damaged 11 houses, and in Popasna, they shelled their own positions with mortar fire, says the governor of the Luhansk region, Serhiy Haidai.
The enemy’s losses are currently being counted.
“Our forces continue to fight away the Russian army from Rubizhne and Popasna, where the occupiers were partially able to gain a foothold. In some of the town districts, there is street fighting. The enemy tried to storm Popasna with artillery support but suffered losses. They shelled their own positions with the mortar fire,” Haidai reports.
Russian shellings also damaged 3 high-rise and 8 private houses in Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, and Rubizhne. Also, they shelled a school near Lysychansk, the ambulance station infrastructure in Severodonetsk, and two wholesale warehouses in the city.
Two people suffered from the Russian actions, four more were saved from the rubble. The statement says that 16 houses and 15 hectares of dry grass caught fire during the last day.
The situation regarding restoring the critical infrastructure in the Luhansk region has not changed. 95 312 people are left without electricity: 32 towns and villages are cut off from the power - 12 partially and 20 fully.
Also, 27 towns and villages have no gas supply (41 000 people) - 23 fully and 5 partially.
There is no water supply in the towns of Rubizhne and Popasna. There is limited water supply to Zolote village of the Hirska amalgamated community and problems with supplying water in Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.
