Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv came under fire on the way to Chernihiv, where humanitarian aid was being delivered. He said about it in a video message.

"We were fired upon. The enemy fired on our car. Thank God, everyone is alive, some of our guys were injured," he said, thanking the wounded driver, Andriy.

According to Martsinkiv, the shooting took place near Chernihiv on 26 March.

"The shooting took place right before Chernihiv itself, before the [river] crossing, where the journalist of "1 + 1" Tsaplienko was actually shot at. We were trying to deliver special communication devices and humanitarian aid," the mayor of Frankivsk added.

Due to the destroyed by the occupiers road bridge, Chernihiv has no connection to Kyiv, which makes it difficult to deliver humanitarian aid to the city, that is being constantly under fire. Over the past 24 hours, two schools and a number of civilian buildings in Chernihiv have been destroyed.
