People's Deputy Inna Sovsun from "Holos" (voice) faction registered in parliament a bill banning the Russian Orthodox Church.

Sovsun wrote about this on her Facebook.

"Now most deputies of the Verkhovna Rada tell me that this bill is not on time. It will provoke rashists. I don't even know how to comment on it. The ROC should disappear. It is a question of security of Ukraine - ours today and our children - tomorrow," she said.

Sovsun noted that "the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church - Patriarch Kirill, in fact blessed the rashist military in the war with Ukraine ... Representatives of the ROC were repeatedly caught in reconnaissance and sabotage activities."

"There are many such examples. The extensive intelligence and sabotage structure of the Russian Orthodox Church has worked for many years and continues to work for Putin," she said.

According to the website of the Ukrainian Parliament, the bill has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada management.

On 25 March frontier guards detained near Kharkiv spies who appeared representatives of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate. The detainees had Russian payment cards with them.

According to a poll conducted by the sociological group Rating on 8-9 March, 63% of respondents support the idea of severing ties between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church - Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church.
