Ukraine will win the war that was started by the russia. It is only a matter of time, said the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with The Economist.
"We believe in victory. It is impossible to believe in anything else. We will definitely win, because this is our home, our land, our independence. It's only a matter of time," Mr Zelenskyy said.
Victory depends not only on the fighting spirit of Ukrainians, but also on the support of the West. Ukraine just now needs tanks, armored personnel vehicles and military aircraft.
"It is impossible to say, 'We will help you in the coming weeks.' This will not allow us to unblock the russia-occupied cities, to bring food to residents there, to take the military initiative into our own hands," - he said.
Zelenskyy stressed that the russians have thousands of military vehicles, and they are coming and coming.
“There are some cities where there are so many tanks that they can't go away. They have tank traffic jams, ” - he added.
