Russia's goal is to destroy Ukraine as a state, the consequences will be worse than during World War II, - Zelenskyy
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the scale of hostilities and destruction after the Russian aggression against Ukraine will be greater than that inflicted during World War II. He stated this during an address to the Danish Parliament.

The head of state noted that the total number of weapons used by Russian troops cannot be counted. All of them were directed against Ukrainians in their native land.

"We can say that the intensity and brutality of the fighting against us has reached a level even higher than it was during the Second World War - the most destructive war in Europe. A month of fighting, and we have not one, not two, but a whole blacklist of cities that have been completely destroyed by Russian bombing," Zelenskyy said.

In tens of other cities, towns, and small villages, the residential areas were partially burned, infrastructure was destroyed, enterprises, where people worked, were blown up. 773 educational institutions were destroyed, including universities, schools, kindergartens. Imagine! Tens of hospitals, churches, even Holocaust memorials have been targeted ... " the President added.

He also stressed that Russia's main goal in the war against Ukraine is the complete destruction of the Ukrainian state.

"The goal of Russian troops in this war is to completely destroy any basis for the normal life of the Ukrainian people. The occupiers are deliberately making sure that nothing is left of Ukraine. Only ruins, only refugees. Almost 4 million Ukrainians have left our country, "said the Ukrainian guarantor.

Today Russia struck a missile attack on the Mykolaiv regional state administration when people came to work. 9 people died. 22 people were injured.
