Companies belonging to the Polish Association for the Transmission and Distribution of Electricity have provided Ukraine with supporting materials and equipment to repair the energy infrastructure damaged by the fighting.

This was reported by the press service of the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine “Energoatom”.

"The war in Ukraine, provoked by the aggression of the Russian Federation, is causing enormous material losses to the energy infrastructure. Due to the devastation caused by the fighting, we see the need to support the energy system with materials and equipment that will restore electricity supply in the most strategic areas," a letter from the President of the Polish Association of Electricity Transmission and Distribution Robert Zasina to Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko said.

So, last week the members of the association launched a campaign to help Ukraine.

Among the equipment provided there are the most necessary things, in particular, low and medium voltage cables with auxiliary materials, medium and low voltage transformers, generators, etc.

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine thanked his Polish colleagues for the support they provide to Ukrainian energy companies and our country as a whole.

"The enemy is deliberately destroying our energy infrastructure. But Ukraine will rebuild everything," Galushchenko assured.

It is expected that the next batch of aid to the energy sector will be sent in the near future. Cargo transportation for Ukraine is coordinated and organized by the Polish Government Agency for Strategic Reserves.
