143 children have died in Ukraine since the beginning of the war with Russia. This was announced by the Commissioner for Human Rights of Verkhovna Rada Lyudmila Denisova.
Another 216 children were injured.
"As of 8 AM EST on March 28, 2022, according to Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, as well as other sources which need confirmation, 143 children died and 216 children were injured since the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine," said Denisova.
According to her, the actual number of victims is impossible to establish because the country is engaged in active fighting.
As of March 27, 139 children were killed in Ukraine.
